What to Expect

Your Workout

We don’t believe in cookie-cutter workouts.  Your boxing workout will be tailored to you, taking into account your age, physical condition, injuries, sporting experience and specific goals.

Each customized workout is different and will typically include some of the following:

  • Warm-up (light stretching, jump rope, footwork on ladder, or boxing-specific warm up).
  • Instruction on boxing techniques (steps, movements, defense, punches and interesting combinations, beneficial for the brain!)
  • Strength, cardio, flexibility, balance and reaction work (may include a medicine ball, tennis ball, resistance bands, core and ab exercises).
  • Relaxation (may include stretching for the spine and lower back, and breathing exercises)

We continually update your customized training plan as you progress.


























Your First Session

Your first boxing session will be an introductory workout.

This means that we’ll try a variety of exercises and movements without too much stress, to help you adapt and get familiar with our training technique and style.

All you have to bring is yourself and we’ll supply all of the equipment.

After the first session, your coach will draw up a training plan and will adapt it after each workout to suit you personally (This is like a specially tailored suit or dress that fits you perfectly!)

When you’re ready, we can advise you on purchasing your own boxing gloves.  Many of our clients also like to purchase their own hand wraps, yoga mat, boxing shoes, and jump rope but these are optional.
